Be Grateful Every Day

You want to be happy don’t you?

So what’s stopping you? It’s only a state of mind after all.

You can choose to be happy and see the good in your life or you can choose to wallow in self pity and be a sad sack – but I know which one I prefer.

Sad sack!

No. Only kidding.

I want to be so happy it hurts (a little – like a pinch more than a paper cut)

Putting a positive spin on your circumstances opens up all sorts of possibilities for improvement whereas focusing only on the negative and worrying won’t solve a damn thing.

Fair enough, sometimes things happen that can’t easily be turned around into something good (and perhaps sometimes you shouldn’t even try) but most of the things that make us unhappy are trivial and easily flipped to be positive.

My name is David and I’m a 43 year old stay at home dad to 4 young children and I’m also trying to build a business from home. As you might imagine, there are plenty of things that test my resolve to be happy but I find that showing gratitude for the good things in my life helps to put it all in perspective.

What are you grateful for?

My task is simply to ask myself that same question every day.

If you want to answer that question yourself in the comments, please go ahead and do so! 🙂
You’ve got to accentuate the positive…

Sing along now…

I am grateful everyday for my amazing kids. It is amazing to watch live how their brains develop and to see what affects the people around them have. I see the village helping raise my children, and see every day how a small, or long interaction can have a big effect on them. They are a gift from god.
